California Bighorn Hunt
SA
Darrell Schneider and Ashnola Guide Service are certainly no strangers to the Eastern Chapter and will be returning to exhibit at our 2011 convention. For our 2011 convention they have donated one of their coveted California Bighorn hunts. These hunts have been virtually 100% successful as long as the hunter is in shape and willing to hunt hard. The donation includes 7 full days of hunting with one-on-one guiding, all meals, cabin accommodations and transportation to and from the airport in Penticton, British Columbia. The outfitter offers hunts at low or high elevations and this is generally a horseback-style hunt. These tags are very limited and you do not see California Bighorn hunts on an auction list very often. The hunter is responsible for the non-resident license and the sheep tag fee, as well as the non-resident preservation fund. You can find a list of the current license and tag fees on GOABC website. Dates of the hunt can be arranged directly with the outfitter with the season running from August 25 to September 30, 2011. This is a 2011 donation only and no additional hunt space is available. Past President Dale Gaugler has hunted with the Schneider’s several times and highly recommends them.
